Deceased Organ Donor Potential in Canada Core

Deceased Organ Donor Potential in Canada How many patients who die in Canadian hospitals are clinically eligible to be organ donors? How effectively do health systems across the country convert these potential donors into actual donors? These questions were at the centre of Deceased Organ Donor Potential in Canada, a study that used hospital discharge data to estimate the number of potential donors. More than 100,000 hospital deaths a year between 2008 and 2012 were examined.
