The newest version of the Standards for Management Information Systems in Canadian Health Service Organizations is known as the MIS Standards 2025.
This is a national set of standards used by health care systems to collect and report financial and statistical data about their operations. Health service organizations that use the standards include hospitals, long-term care homes, home care programs, community programs, mental health and addiction services, and primary care.
The MIS Standards 2025 will take effect April 1, 2025.
Use of the MIS Standards is governed by the Licence Agreement for MIS Standards 2025 (“Licence Agreement”). Use is limited to internal non-commercial use for the purposes of your own research, study and/or data collection and analysis and is subject to the restrictions identified in the Licence Agreement, such as the prohibitions against using the MIS Standards for commercial purposes or developing software that will be used for the collection or submission of data.
There are no licence restrictions on the number of users for the MIS Standards 2025.
If you do not or cannot agree to the Licence Agreement, you may not access, view, use or reproduce the MIS Standards. If you access, view, use or reproduce the MIS Standards, you are indicating that you have understood and agreed to the Licence Agreement.
