This 17th annual release in CIHI's Wait Times series includes downloadable data tables, which can be used to monitor progress as provinces work to reduce wait times and meet evidence-based benchmarks for priority procedures in Canada. The methodology notes outline CIHI's methodology to analyze priority procedure wait times and access to health care data. Note: The findings reflect wait times for patients who had their procedures done between April and September 2021, and provide comparisons with the same period in 2019. There are also additional data periods (October 2019 to March 2021 and October 2019 to March 2019), intended to aid in the study of wait times throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide a complete pre-pandemic baseline.
