Poverty and Health - CPHI Collected Papers  Core

This volume provides insight into links between poverty and health. Two working papers, by Shelley Phipps and David Ross offer perspectives on what we know from research and relevant policy approaches respectively. A third paper reports on proceedings of a national roundtable on poverty and health hosted by CPHI in the spring of 2002. Areas of agreement and disagreement regarding the relationship between poverty and health are identified.

The collection of papers is comprised of three parts:

  • The Impact of Poverty on Health by Shelley Phipps
  • Policy Approaches to Address the Impact of Poverty on Health by David P. Ross
  • Poverty and Health: Links to Action proceedings of the CPHI National Roundtable on Poverty and Health, March 26, 2002

FAQ

The price you pay for an item depends on the type of organization to which you belong. Until you sign in, we do not know which price applies to you.

No. Regardless of the language in which the publication itself is available, the series screen provides a general description of the publications in that series and, for each edition, gives you the option of choosing the language and the media type (for example, paper or PDF) of the publication that you want. CIHI often publishes reports in both English and French, though there is sometimes a delay between the publication of the English version and the availablility of the French version. The series information will always be available in both English and French, even if the report itself is only available in one language.

If you want the downloadable version of an available publication and the price is free, as is often the case, you can simply download the file (usually a PDF) by clicking the Download link. If your browser does not support PDFs and you do not have a PDF viewer, you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader free of charge at Adobe.com. If the publication is not available in a downloadable media type or the price is not free, you will have to add it to your cart so that you can order it. You must be signed in before adding an item to your cart, so if you have not already done so, you will be redirected to the sign in screen.

If you wish to get more information about a publication before deciding to add it to your cart, click the View link under the Details column for the version of the publication that interests you. This will give you more detailed information about that particular publication.

The History link only appears on the top menu bar once you have signed in. To sign in, enter your username and password in the top-right corner of your screen.
