This manual provides technical specifications for interRAI's standardized outputs that can be derived from the RAI-MDS 2.0. These specifications have been designed to assist software vendors to build outputs into their RAI-MDS 2.0 data collection software and other users to understand the details of how the outputs are calculated.

The CCRS RAI-MDS 2.0 Output Specifications manual was updated for 2016–2017 to remove 3 categories of outputs: the Personal Severity Index (PSI); the original CHSRA quality indicators; and Resident Assessment Protocols (RAPs). These removed outputs will no longer be included in the specification manuals going forward. Jurisdictions that may still need or are required to use these outdated standards should refer to the 2015–2016 or earlier versions of the manual or contact ccrs@cihi.ca for more information.
