Improving the Health of Canadians 2005-2006 Report Series examines what we know about factors that affect the health of Canadians, ways to improve our health and relevant options for evidence-based policy choices.
The first report in this series, Improving the Health of Young Canadians, highlights research relevant to understanding adolescent health and development. This report analyzes data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Children and Youth (NLSCY) and the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) and explores the association between positive assets in adolescents' social environments and their health behaviours and outcomes.
