The CIHI study, Wait Times Tables—A Comparison by Province, 2010 includes updated information on provincial wait times reporting as of December 2009. This fifth consecutive annual report provides an overview of provincial data and information on wait times. The report provides three measures of waits for care: median, 90th percentile and the percent of patients receiving care within benchmark timeframes. As well, trends in wait times were analyzed by procedure for jurisdictions that consistently defined and measured wait times over at least a three-year period. The wait times tables provide information on wait times reported for cardiac procedures, cataract surgery, cancer treatment , diagnostic imaging, joint replacements and hip fracture surgery.

June 1, 2010: The report Wait Times Tables - A Comparison by Province, 2010 was updated to include the following changes:

On page 21, Table A2, Quebec reports 11% of patients waiting longer than 180 days for hip replacement surgery.

On page 22, Table A3, Quebec reports 13% of patients waiting longer than 180 days for knee replacement surgery.

On page 23, Table A4, Quebec reports 6% of patients waiting longer than 180 days for cataract surgery.

Trending for these procedures in Quebec is not possible due to a change in methodology for calculating the number of patients waiting 180 days or more. As a result, trends for Quebec in Table 2, on page 7, were removed.
