The Resource Utilization Groups version III Home Care (RUG-III-HC) is the grouping methodology applied to RAI-HC Canadian version assessment data submitted to the Home Care Reporting System (HCRS). Assessment data is sorted into categories and groups according to clinical characteristics and estimated resource use. This methodology assigns each assessment to 1 of 23 groups.

Elements included: :

  • SAS code and detailed flowcharts for the RUG-III-HC logic (PDF format for the flowcharts, PDF and text formats for the code)
  • Test data as a comma-separated value (CSV) file

Note that the RUG-III-HC grouping methodology for 2010–2011 is the most up-to-date version.
