Health infostructure standards are documented agreements containing technical specifications or precise criteria to facilitate the interoperability of communication and information technology in support of improved service delivery and informed decision-making in health

• DAD and NACRS Gap Analysis With Pan-Canadian EHR Standards Report - An Innovation Initiative by Standards Development Coordination.
• Canadian Conceptual Health Data Model (CHDM) - a reference tool for organizing high-level health information and data.
• CIHI Data Dictionary - standardized data elements, definitions and values for elements captured in the CIHI databases.
• National Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Framework for Health - a national framework for the secure communication of health information. Defines the requirements for a pan-Canadian approach to (PKI) for health to ensure confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of data when sharing health information electronically.
• Unique Identifiers Development - aims to develop pan-Canadian methodologies for linking health information at the level of individuals, facilities, and health service providers.
