This report is a joint initiative of the Ontario Hospital Association and the Government of Ontario. The report is produced by CIHI, based on leading-edge methods developed by the Hospital Report Research Collaborative at the University of Toronto researchers. Its aim is to help people in Ontario better understand and assess the performance of their local hospital and of the province's hospitals as a whole. It also supports efforts by hospitals to improve the quality of their services. The report is a balanced scorecard including information on patient satisfaction, clinical utilization and outcomes, financial performance and condition, and system integration and change.
